A single hunter is no match for your combat prowess. It DOES NOT work against bots, so don't bother if the enemy team has a bot. When used properly, this strategy is surprisingly effective. At max Armor, each Monster glows a certain color, revealing your position. At low HP, the Monster is dimmer and cannot be seen. At max HP, the Monster is much brighter, and so can easily be seen in bushes. In Evolve, as a Monster takes HP damage, they will become brighter or dimmer. The first thing to mention, is that you cannot move, attack, smell, or do anything while in the bush. I suggest only trying it while fleeing, and make sure you aren't seen. There is another mechanic that CAN make it either hard or easy to use. However, if they use Planet Scanner, you're screwed. If you sneak into the bush, so that you don't leave tracks, you can hide in there. (Doesn't really work for Meteor Goliath). Around the map, there are bushes that are big enough for a sneaking Monster to be in. Then you can safely sneak away, while they are lost as to where you are. The Hunters will have moved North-West to cut you off, but you'll be back where you started. Jump West, so it shows up on their screen. Say you are at the top half, at the point farthest North-East, and the Hunters are just south of you. As such, they are great practice to help you learning alacrity in escaping. Bots have this sixth sense in the way that you can't escape them. Never spend too much time in one place.Įscaping Hunters is a skill that needs to be learned and experienced. Farm in between traversals, and eat quickly. If they use the Planet Scanner, you should stop sneaking and start running as fast as you can. When you are far away, hit the sneak button, and continue the rest of the way. You can also choose to run next to a Megamouth so if the Hunters follow you, they will be slowed down. To gain distance from Hunters, run, traverse, and climb away from Hunters, avoiding wildlife. In the changes for Stage 2, the Monster has a much more difficult time sneaking, but it isn't impossible. Then you should eat a few corpses and start moving again. When farming, it's better to use abilities that have quick animations or let you move while using them (Warp Blast, Fire Breath). If you have trap skills (Banshee Mines, Spider Trap, etc), drop them below the Hunter's drop location. If you have traversals to use, or movement skills such as Charge, Leap Smash, Warp Blast etc Use those immediately. As soon as the Hunters drop, they will likely use the Planet Scanner, so don't bother sneaking just yet. i'm sure they can work out a way for the two networks to coincide together and facilitate platform vs platform gaming hell they may and could even start a new e-sports community/gaming centre where by the whole premise is for Console Platform 1 VS Console Platform 2.As a Monster, your enemy (the Hunters) drop in about 30 seconds after the game starts. ![]() but still the handicap/disability gap remains and to make sure everyone is on a levelling playing field there most likely won't be any cross platform support across consoles and pc's at least unless the community really really wants it lolĪs for console vs console cross platform gaming. ![]() nay there are some really good controller users out there esp a lot from the old halo and cod days.where they can spot and snipe out an enemy player much faster than a keyboard and mouse user. This is not to say that k/b users always beat out controllers. ![]() esp games such as evolve where aiming is going to be a big factor the obvious choice setup of k/b is going to possibly outplay the console "peasant" race controller mode team. very true the big hurdle and always asked question that is cross platform gaming is really a difficult one that I don't see happening unless the game is something where a controller vs your standard keyboard and mouse setup are on an equal playing field. Different networks, which would require some complex stitching together in order to actually work.ģ.
